Favourite mascaras!

These are my top three picks for mascara!

For me personally I don't think it is worth shedding out extra money on mascara as you can get just as good ones on the highstreet. These are a few of my favourites!

My first favourite is Rimmel Accelerator Endless. This is amazing for giving length and a bit volume. This is very cheap at the bargain price of £7.99 per tube.

This mascara has a plastic brush which doesn't bother me. I don't have a preference when it comes to mascara brushes, if they work with my lashes, they work!

Rimmel Accelerator Endless

My next favourite is Maybelline The Falsies. This is an all around great mascara and probably is my favourite in the drugstore. This gives amazing volume and length, wouldn't quite go as far as saying that it gives the false eyelash effect though!

This has a bristle brush and is slightly curved when you look at it from the side, which I find really helps grip onto the lashes.

Maybelline The Falsies Mascara

My last but certainly not least favourite is a highend mascara. Now I technically haven't splurged on the full size ever but I have been very tempted! It is Benefits They're real! Now this gets a lot of hype, but I think it is all worth it! Its an eye watering £19.50 per tube for something that will last around 3 months! It has a plastic wand with a type of ball on the end which makes it very easy to catch the outer lashes easily. Just a side not though, if you do not like waterproof mascaras then I don't think you would like this as it can be a bit of a pain to get off at the end of the day!

So they're all my favourites! Have you tired any of these? Or do you have any recommendations?

Benefit Rockateur Blush Review!

Today I thought I would do a review on my favourite blusher, Benefits Rockateur!

Benefit Rockateur Blush

Now with all Benefit Boxed Blushers they come with a small brush, which is surprisingly soft! I don't tend to use those as they are the wrong shape (in my opinion) to apply blusher. (they're perfect for contouring though!)

Colour: This blusher is a gorgeous rose-gold shimmery colour! I find it to really warm up my complexion (seeing as I'm fairly pale!) which I think is what I'm looking for in a blush, to make me look more alive!

Packaging: Now for the packaging I find this to be quite tacky, with all the lace patterns and the gold and pink. I'm just not a big fan. (but it's really about the product inside right?)

Formula: This blusher is super blendable, which makes it even easier to blend in and make a really pretty natural glow.

Price: With all Benefit products, they come with a hefty price tag. This is £23.50 for 5 grams of product, which to me is a rip off seeing as another Benefit box blusher I own has a massive 12 grams! But oh well, it's a fantastic product, and who really will use 12 grams of blusher anyway!

Overall I think this is a brilliant product, and with anything you get what your pay for!

Will any of you be splurging on one of Benefits box blushers?

MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation Review!

Today I thought I'd share a review on one of my favourite foundations, MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation!

I had slight trouble getting this foundation as the lady at the counter matched me to the completely wrong shade! So I went back and got someone else to match me to a far better shade, NC15.

MAC Studio Fix Fluid, NC15
I have been road testing this foundation for the past week, and so far, so good!

Coverage - This has a medium to full coverage as it is easily buildable. If a lighter coverage is wanted I used my Real Techniques sponge (which is amazing, may I add!) to blend in the foundation to make a flawless finish.

Finish - The finish of this foundation is semi-matte so it is perfect for oily skins (like me!). It leaves the skin looking quite powdery but after an hour, it leaves a nice look to the skin. This keeps my shiny nose not looking shiny straight after I've finished my entire face of makeup, which is a massive bonus for me.

Formula - The formula is quite thick but not too thick for me. If you've tried the revlon colour stay, it's very similar to that.

Other - I've never been one to comment on a smell of a foundation but this one literally smells of paint, it doesn't bother me too much as I really do love this foundation.

Just a side note, I've heard many people to break out from this foundation and many other MAC bases  so I'd be a bit weary when buying one. I haven't had any problems.

Overall I'm really enjoying this foundation and would recommend it to anyone with oily/combination skin.

Do you think you'll be trying this out, or have you already got one in your collection? Let me know in the comments.

MUA Powder Blush Review!

So if you have seen my previous post you will know I went shopping recently and bought some new beauty bits! While I was shopping I decided to try some of the MUA powder blushes.

MUA is known for having cheap and affordable makeup, but still having a decent quality. MUA has a large range of cheap products ranging from lipsticks for £1 and eyeshadow palettes for only £4! If you would like an MUA overview of all their products then let me know!

I picked up two blushers at only £1 each, which is incredible!

MUA blushers
First of all lets discuss the packaging! The packaging is not anything special, but what do you expect for a £1 blusher? The packaging is very sleek so would fit perfectly in your makeup bag. It also seems reasonably sturdy so the product shouldn't crack or break easily.

Left: Cupcake Right: Bubble Gum

I purchased two colours, one in Bubble Gum (the bright pink) and Cupcake (the peachy pink). These blushers have a very good quality and are highly pigmented for the small price of £1!

The colour of Cupcake is a peach/pink! It seems to look slightly different in different lights and on different skin tones! On me it gives a gorgeous natural look! It is a matte blusher whereas I'm more of a shimmery blush person, I still absolutely love it!

Bubble Gum is a beautiful bright pink! Now don't get scared of the colour in the pan, it transfers onto the cheeks as a gorgeous natural flush! (can you tell I like natural looking colours?!) This again is a matte blush and I still love it!

The texture of these blushes is amazing, they aren't patchy at all and blend out onto the cheeks amazingly!

Overall I absolutely love these blushes, not only for the quality but for the price point of £1! I would recommend these to anyone!

Do you think you'll be buying any of these? Let me know in the comments.

New Beauty Bits!

Recently I've done a bit of shopping and thought I'd share it with you!

I first of all went into MAC. I went in there wanting to get a new foundation, and thats what I got! I decided to go for the studio fix fluid foundation as I've seen some good reviews on it. The lady first matched me to NW15 which was far to orange and dark so I had to go all the way back and swap it for another colour! I ended up going for NC15 which is a far better match. I really have been enjoying this foundation as it stays put all day!

MAC studio fix fluid

I then went into boots and picked up two things! I first of all went over to the Rimmel stall and picked up the wake me up concealer! This is a really nice medium to full coverage concealer, perfect for under the eyes!

I then saw that maybelline had released a new mascara! This is the colossal go extreme mascara. I've tried this once and I thought it was ok, nothing special.

I then popped into superdrug looking for the NYC sunny bronzer, which I bought but then when I opened it, it was smashed! So I returned it for two MUA blushers. I got the shades bubble gum (the top one) and cupcake (the bottom one). These are amazing blushers for only £1 each! I'm going to be writing a full blog post on them, so keep and eye out for that!

Last but not least I went into Kiko. Recently a Kiko has opened near me so I thought I would go in and see if there was anything that catches my eye. I was really intrigued at these cream/mousse eyeshadows. I think I had heard someone talking about these and they had said they really enjoyed them! I definitely love this product! It's and extremely long lasting eyeshadow and it has a really good pigment to it as well. Unfortunately I think these are limited edition so I would try and get your hands on one if you can! I got mine in the colour snappy brass.

So I hope you guys enjoyed seeing what I have purchased in the last few weeks!

Favourite Primers!

So today I'm going to be talking about my top 3 primers to keep my foundation looking perfect all day!

The first primer is Nivea daily essentials express hydration primer (what a mouthful!) This primer is a mixture between a moisturiser and a primer. The consistency of this is a gel type consistency which feels very hydrating while keeping your makeup on for that little bit longer! It comes in two different types, one for normal/dry skin and one for combination/oily skin. I have the one for combination oily. This is a very affordable primer at only £4.99! Overall I would give this a very big thumbs up!

Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer

My next favourite primer is Rimmel Fix and Perfect Pro primer! This is a very smooth hydrating type primer! If you're into silicone type primers then I wouldn't say this is for you as it is more like a creamy base. I like this primer because it keeps your makeup on for long time without being sticky, which can happen with some primers. This is another very affordable primer at only £6.99 for 30ml!

Rimmel Fix and Perfect Pro primer

My last favourite is Benefits porefessional! This is a silicone based primer which is designed to make pores look less visible and to keep your make up on for a little longer. I love this primer because it makes my skin feel a lot smother and makes applying my foundation a dream! I wouldn't say this keeps my make up on any longer but overall this is a really nice primer. Priced at a rather expensive £24.50 for 22ml this makes it more of a splurge product.

Favourite Spring Nail Polish!

Hi guys,
So today I thought as it is spring, I will show you some of my favourite polishes for the spring time!

As spring and summer is fast approaching we start to get a pop of colour in our life, whether thats through clothes, accessorises, or even hair! But today I thought I would discuss one of my favourite ways which is through nail polish!

Something as simple as nail polish can really brighten up a simple look! So here are my tops colours!

First of all I have a very affordable polish at only £1 a bottle! It's MUA's nail polish in pistachio ice cream! This is a gorgeous mint green colour. (very similar to Essie's mint candy apple!)

This nail polish is amazing for only £1! It has a pretty good lasting power and isn't sheer at all, you should only need 2 coats to get an opaque colour!

Next I have another favourite and that is Barry M nail polish in the colour Berry! This is a lovely light lilac colour. I'm sure you've seen many colours like this on the market from various companies, but this one is truly delightful!

These nail varnishes have a very good lasting power. The only downside is you do need 3 coats to get to the colour above, but it sure is worth it! These retail for only £2.99!

The next colour I'm going to discuss is another Barry M colour! (They sure do know their nail varnish!) This one is in the colour Peach Melba! This is a gorgeous peach colour! (as the name does suggest!)

As like before, it has a very good lasting power but doesn't need as many coats as the previous Barry M nail paint.

My last but certainly not least colour is from Sinful Colors! This is an extremely bright pink colour! (this does leave a matte finish so I tend to put a super glossy top coat on!) This colour is so amazing! It is one of the brightest pinks I've seen on the market!

These nail varnishes are super affordable at £1.99 per bottle! The only problem I had with them was they didn't have a very long lasting power, but I'm sure with a decent topcoat they should last a lot longer! It took 2 coats to get to the opacity above.

So they are my top spring nail varnish colours!

I hope you enjoyed! What are your favourite colours for spring, or any trends you like to follow? Let me know in the comments.
