How to spot clean your brushes!

Hi guys,
Today I thought I would tell you about the way I spot clean my brushes!

So first of all I will tell you the two essential items you need! The first item I use is the MAC brush cleanser, but you can use any cleanser you like. I also use cotton pads! And thats it!

MAC brush cleanser

So first of all I take a cotton pad and the MAC cleanser and pour out a very small amount of the cleanser onto the cotton pad.

Next I swirl my brush onto the cotton pad and keep on cleaning until the brush doesn't deposit anymore product onto the cotton pad.

I then repeat this process on all my eye brushes! How simple is that?

I tend to prefer to deep clean my face brushes as I feel spot cleaning them doesn't get them clean enough, so if you would like a post on deep cleaning brushes, comment below!

Top Three Skincare Saviours!

Hi guys!
Today I thought I'd share with you my three skincare saviours! I suffer from breakouts, redness and scaring on my face, so these are the products I use to to help prevent and help them.

My first saviour is sudocrem. Now I know this is mainly known for nappy rash, but if you look at the fine print, it says for ache as well. I put this on any blemishes and redness, and by the morning, bam, its gone! This also helps with scaring on my face, it kind of blurs it and makes it less noticable. One thing to keep in mind though, remember to wash your face thoroughly in the morning, otherwise it makes your foundation go extremely patchy the next day! (I had to learn that the hard way!)

The next product is Benefits it's potent eye cream. Now I've only recently gotten into eye creams, but I must admit I'm very impresses with this. I can notice that my dark circles have definitely improved. This eye cream isn't the most nourishing eye cream, but it is better than using nothing! This is rather pricey at £25.50 per pot. Whether its worth it or not is up to you! In my opinion I wouldn't splurge for  this eye cream in particular, but it's definitely is worth it if you are someone with dark circles, but doesn't suffer from dry eyes. I only have a miniature pot with came in a set. (but thats another post!)

My last product is at the other end of the spectrum in terms of price at only £2.09! This is the witch blemish stick! At first glance you'd look at the product itself and think it wouldn't work, but this little gem really battles redness! I apply this (when I'm not using sudocrem of course!) at night after I've moisturised, and when I wake up in the morning I can really see a difference. I wouldn't say it combats blemishes as well as redness, but you can't really knock it when its only £2.09!

Best foundations for oily skin!

Hi guys,

Today I thought I'd discuss my top three foundations for oily skin. I have oily/combination skin and suffer from my foundation melting off throughout the day! I have tried and tested quite a few foundations in my time, and have narrowed it down to my three favourites!

My first favourite foundation is Estée Lauder double wear maximum cover foundation! This is a thick camouflage type foundation which is perfect for people who suffer from acne or breakouts. This also has a very good staying power and can last on my face for around seven ours before I need to powder. This foundation is an expensive foundation price at £28.50 but is definitely worth it is you have super oily skin! If you are someone who wants a slightly lighter coverage they also have the original double wear.

My next favourite is L'oreal Infallible 24H foundation.! This is a long lasting, medium to full coverage foundation. I personally love this foundation for everyday wear. It will last all day with a mid-day powder! Priced at a fair price of £9.99 for 30ml, you can't go wrong!

L'oreal Infallible 24H Foundation

My last but certainly not least favourite foundation is Revlon Colourstay foundation! This is a high coverage, very long lasting foundation! I love to use this foundation on an everyday basis for an all day proof base. This will last me all day with a dusting on powered on my t-zone throughout the day. This is my favourite foundation for my oily skin! Priced at a reasonable £12.50, makes it even more of a favourite!

Top 3 Highlighters!

Hi guys!

So today I thought I would discuss my top three highlighters! I have a mix of higher end and more affordable ones, retailing from a small £3.00 to a not so small £22.

So my first pick of the bunch at number three is Benefits high beam liquid highlighter! This is a pinky pearl colour which gives a gorgeous sheen once applied to the tops of the cheekbones and on the bridge of the nose. This comes in a rather odd nail polish type packaging, with a brush tip applicator. I tend to put two or three small dots on my cheekbones and blend out with either a brush or my fingers! Priced at a not so small price of £19.50, this would definitely be a splurge product, but definitely worth it! This little pot won't run out in any time at all!

At number two is MUA's undress your skin powder highlighter! This is one of my most used highlighters as it makes your skin look glowing, without looking like a glitter ball! This highlighter is a pinky coloured highlighters, so it would go with almost every skin tone! The packaging for this product is minimal, with no fancy detail, but does seem like it will protect the product! But considering it is only £3.00, I'm not going to complain! If you're strapped for cash then this is definitely the highlighter for you! It's cheap, extremely good product, and the packaging seems quite durable!

And finally at number one I have MAC's mineralized skin finish in lightscapade! This is a beautiful, light gold, with hints of pink, blue and yellow running through it. This is one of the more luxurious highlighters priced at £22, but I think it is definitely worth it, considering you get a whole 10 grams of product!  The packaging is in MAC's signature matte black packaging, which I personally love!
